If your sister says that gaming aint for girls... Well, what does she do?
Chat? Personally, I think just plain chatting is hella-boring. I'd rather play GW and chat with pal's there at the same tme You should do what you like to do. People nag on me to get MSN, but I won't cause I think chatting kinda sucks Most females I know of play games, whether it'd be Singstar, Guitar Hero or Age of Conan (now that would be sweet ) They're still games. Bet our sister would like playing games if she would just give them a chance... Just my thoughts |

1. You dont need to give up. 2. Most of the players on here are just kids obsessed.. 3. Majority of them are male. You're not the only girl to have interest in a game. My wife plays and she pwns at PvP sometimes. (touch ranger) *shudder* Yea keep at it. New pooters are gettin cheaper. I've got a decent rig costed me $700. That's it. |

Rosa,
I'm a girl, I'm straight, and I played with matchbox cars as a kid. Yes I got called lots of weird things, right up till the end of high school, and even occassionally at university and then in the work place. I can't promise it will ever really stop, but you certainly shouldn't worry about it. Anyone who cares enough about what you do to want to insult you is paying far too much attention to other peoples lives rather than living their own. |

Just ignore them because they are arrogant children! Women play GW just as much men do. And games has nothing to do with separating genders. So those people who kept teasing you needs to knock it off and instead go learn how to read a book.

I would do what you think is best, don't let other people influence what you do (unless they are trying to help you in some way.)
If you enjoy the game, play it, and don't feel ashamed or anything crazy like that. I know plenty of girls that play games, and some are quite "leet" at a few of them. |

Do what makes you happy as long as it does not harm to others. Life is too short to worry about what other people say.

Well, your sister needs to get out of the stone age.
My guild has quite a few ladies, some are mothers as well. They keep the guild respectful and well behaved. |

Get any computer from the last 2 years and it'll run GW perfectly. Anything older and the game will look kinda bad when you play. |

Next time your sisters says that, you should organise a little get-together with all the girls who play GW... And scratch her eyes out Im your first volunteer.
Nah, but seriously: tell your sister to get lost and go play GW till your heart burst And find a boyfriend that plays computergames too. Works for me (im more addicted than he is ) |

My advice is do the things you love. Why would you care if someone is making fun of what you love? Are you gonna let that down.
Plus who says girls arent allowed to play, they are humans arent they? So treat them like one! :P |

Caring about what other people think, even the people here, is silly.
Do what you feel is right, do what makes you happy, but don't do things just 'cause someone told you so. |

Do whatever you want and what you enjoy.
Stereotypes, etc exist but it doesn't mean they are true. I play regularly with a lot of female gamers, half of my friend's list is female so and i predominately use friend's list before anything so... |

you should, however, stop playing because it is a waste of time, there really is better stuff to do |

If your sister is defining herself based on whether the things she does are "girly" enough, she's going to have a very hard road through life.
Girl gamers are everywhere. We are cool. We are much more fun for guys to be around. We have more to us than lipstick and more to talk about than shoes. My husband ADORES the fact that I game....he thinks the fact that I can beat our guildies is hot as hell Don't define yourself by your hobbies. Being a woman has a whole lot more to it that that. Your sister will learn that (hopefully) as she grows up. |
